reifica-ssi thank you so so much for making/helping her write this~ *awkwardly hugs you*
You usually write amazingly well dear but lately since you've been listening to reifica-ssi God bless you have been hitting all of my fave scenarios and couples. It seems both of us have similar tastes or sth~
Now back to this particular story- as always you were just genius. In every sense of that world- you just (this is gonna sound lame so prepare yourself) sound so intelligent- whether it comes to answering comment or writing because your stories hold so many different meanings and I feel like there are 10 different things you want to tell us with just one sentence. Here the one thing that really impressed me was the structure- the whole situation A, B, C and etc. And the ending to every segment which were just- I don't have words to describe what exactly they made me think- they were simple and there was no beating around the bush- just straight-forward words that seemed to hit me in this this strange way.
Eventually, they all die. This is the end of the story.
Dongwoo marries Ahra, and Hoya is best man at the wedding. Everything continues as in A.
Basically up until the very last possibility these are the 2 types of endings you offer us- and then in K...
“Hoya,” Dongwoo says breathlessly, smiling. It’s the stupidest smile in the world and Hoya wants to kiss it off Dongwoo's face and so he tries, he tries for years and years and years.
So much for endings.
It was contrasting and beautiful and you actually write happy endings!? I'm amazed~
The one thing that I have repeated and will repeat in the future is that you have the most stunning and breath-taking and amazing writing style ever. But there's this thing with great authors- when you're already used to their works and all and see they have posted something new- you know them and their writing style and you naturally have high-expectations and that dulls the enjoyment even just a little bit (this is a personal opinion more than anything) but with you I have set my expectation high every time and every time you just go beyond my expectation- that's what I really find amazing when it comes to your writing. Because your every next story contains something particular (an idea, a plot kink so to call it) that makes it different and more cunning and beautiful than your past ones.
Sorry for this extremely long comment and btw I just hope you allow spotting 'cause as one of your self-proclaimed number 1 fans I spot on your stories all the time~
*goes and hides somewhere*
P.S: Psst reifica-ssi tell me you like Hojong too and not only my current life shall be completed but the one after it too
reifica does seem to ship anything and everything, though i do believe that she doesn't ship sungjong with anyone. regardless, sometimes i wonder if she has standards. more often, i wonder if she truly possesses neural processing powers.
i am very pleased that you enjoyed my execution. i realize this is pedantic, but i do not want to take credit for the structure and the idea--those belong solely to margaret atwood, though i'll admit to perverting the metatextual aspect of her narrative to suit hoya and dongwoo's story(/ies). i very deliberately pick the words i use, whether it's in my stories or my comments, and it is heartening to hear that you appreciate it.
furthermore, your insights were correct; an ending is an ending. life can be simplified down to the very basics: he was born, he went to school, he got married, he grew old, he died. or some variant thereof. the beginning and the end is always the same--it's the middle that's the interesting bit. that's where storytelling comes into play, and that's why i take so much enjoyment out of it.
regardless, i appreciate your continual flattery. it is extremely sweet of you. and while i'm not sure what "spotting" exactly entails, anyone is free to leave whatever kind of comment s/he desires to leave here, whether it be criticism or praise. i might possibly delete spam advertisements for products in russian, though, as that does not seem at all productive.
