Arrest in One Man Crime Wave

[EDIT: Nope, guess not.]

Monica,

The theif they caught had only burglarized single family homes, no
apartments. He was a white male, mid 50s, a homeless alcoholic. He's still
in custody and probably won't be out any time soon. Since the judges always
hand out sentences running concurrantly, they are charging him with a hand
full of the break ins and then holding the rest back until the end of his
term when they will charge him with some more.

That's about as much as I know. I don't believe there was ever an article
about it, just verbal information from our ICP officer.

Darren

At the April 8th meeting of the [...] Crime Watch, Officer Allen informed us of the arrest of a one-man crime wave. This single individual was responsible for over 25 home break-ins in the last 2 months!

Once arrested, he described in great detail the homes he hit, how he obtained access and what was taken. He remains in custody and the police are actively attempting to recover stolen property.

His method included knocking on the front door posing as a salesman or looking for a lost pet in order to determine if the resident was at home. If no one answered the door, he would enter through the alley and either kick in the door or break a window to gain entry. (In one case, he crawled through an open doggie door.)

I'm wondering if this was the same man who hit my apartment? Too bad I can't find any additional information...

oh shit
