It's Showtime

It's that crazy time of year...Faculty Follies. The variety show sloppily prepared by teachers, with one or no rehearsals, changes in cast and scripts on the fly, all for the amusement of our students. They have, in the past, been a respectful and appreciative audience.
So far, I will be in the segue ~ Book Truck Tango (danced to Perfidia from Shall We Dance; the other librarian and I will play the J.Lo. role and our booktrucks will stand, er, roll in for Richard G....Bizarre, huh?)
Then we will have some song parodies shorts(including one verse to Cell Block Tango = "We didn't do them, We didn't do them, Because Survivor was on last night... WE didn't do them, but if we'd done them, You know the answers would not be right!" Love it.)
My other brainstorm, besides the tango above, is a parody of Moving Ground dance group, performed to One,Two Step/Mix (Ciara). We might actually practice that one a couple of times.
But since we had 40 minutes to choreograph and no one could actually come til Sunday to practice, it's simple, repetitive and not funky enough. But will be fun anyway.
And then the myriad classroom scenes. One teacher writes and produces almost all of it. And in a week!
Only one show this year, so probably will be sold out. At least we hope so!
Wish us luck.
