More walking along Breydon Water

Oct 03, 2016 19:12

You might have heard on the news recently about the two bodies found on Breydon Water.Unfortunately and I don't think we've heard anything more about why they ended up there either. That was on the other side of the water where I was walking last time. This time I was walking further up from there heading inland to Fritton.

Another view of Berney Arms mill

All the time I was walking I was being buzzed by Common Darters

I've been trying to get to photograph one of these for several years. Finally one was near enough for me to snap. It's a little egret which apparently are breeding on the marshes round here now. Didn't have time to get a polarising filter on the camera but what the heck!

Speckled Wood

Red Admirals feeding on ivy flowers. I walked through a cloud of about 15 of them which was quite an experience.

Posing on an elder tree leaf.
