A mixed bag of snaps I took while wandering around with garienos ...






The town wall round Great Yarmouth with the Grammar School in the background (and yes, those are arrow slits).




The Devil Stone (sometimes known as the Druid Stone) outside Bungay Church. It is said that if you run round it seven times the Devil will appear. If you notice from the grass someone had been trying this out before we came.




A hanging inside the church commemorating the day Black Shuck came into the church and killed two of the congregation. They said it was a black hound, it has also suggested it was the Devil (there are the supposed nail marks on the door) but modern reporters talk of it as ball lightening. It got quite famous when The Darkness (a glam rock group from Lowestoft) did a song about it. A performance is on Youtube and the lyrics are here.




This old cupboard (dated 1675) in the church also commemorates the event apparently ...
