I have to do another presentation.
Its on Science Fiction this time ... not something I am totally unaware of, but not something I have done a lot within apart from some of the fandoms I have been in ...
What I thought might be nice would to do a little talk on the sort of themes and tropes that turn up in Sci Fi.
Can anyone suggest them? What are your favourites? How are they used in the media (book, film, TV Show) that you access this genre through?
Everyone who responded last time was really helpful and helped mould the Fandom lecture as I gave it last week.
It would be really helpful if you could give me some ideas to bounce about in my head so I can start thinking about what I want to tell the students.
