Oh snap!
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/06/04/BA8V1137HS.DTL&type=gaylesbian I was a little worried they were going to put a delay on the proceedings, and then in November California would somehow end up overturning the ruling. But instead, I will just beg any gay/lesbian/cyber-lesbian readers here in a happy long-term relationship to go to California and get married as soon as possible. I will go. I will totally go. Really, I should just fly out to California on the 17th and stand in the street somewhere holding a sign saying "please let me come be witness to this great American moment!"
It never would have seemed logical for me to think of a wedding as a tourist destination before, but such is life. It sure is exciting that in the last day, my Illinois BFF Obama finally took the great leap into white people not having a lock on major-party politics, just as straight people may be losing their lock on marriage. Woohoo! Goooooo progressivism2k!
