I just accepted the spot at [Delaware]//[am] declin[ing] the ones at [George Mason, Rutgers, Connecticut, Illinois State, Arizona State, Kansas, North Texas].
That was tough.
Mandy and I will still be living together in the D.C. suburbs, as she is going to George Mason (I had the acceptance form for George Mason all filled out and ready to fax when I got the last-minute offer from Delaware, and learned we would have been on different campuses at George Mason anyway). I will probably be crashing on school nights in the spare room of a friend of mine who lives in Newark, DE. The best and worst of both worlds!
Finally, LishD can stop hearing about this! After this one last post!
I turned down top 5 and top 30 offers in two fields and two top 50 offers in another to go to a program that seems unranked, yet still looks like a better fit than any of my other acceptances. WHAT WILL THE FUTURE BRING?!?! Who knows? Other than, hopefully, "Dr. Quarex." Stay tuned!
