They say sibling rivalry shows affection [CLOSED]

Feb 25, 2008 20:59

Characters: Franziska, Miles, and maybe Manfred will show up.
Content: Miles crashes at the Estate after his (failed) hunt. Franziska wakes him up.
Setting: One of the many guest bedrooms.
Time: The morning after; Miles has been bandaged.
Warnings: Bickering, probable pain to all parties involved.

Franziska prided herself on (among other things) her ability to control her need to sleep. So when the front door had opened early that morning, causing a scuffling amongst the servants, she had sat up promptly in bed - pointedly ignoring the twinges of pain across her leg and back - and walked out to the landing above the entrance hall. She stood there, leaning over the railing, and watched impassively as her brother hobbled back in, the staff running about him in frantic circles.

...He was injured, home late, and empty-handed. Franziska frowned and drew her nightgown closer around herself. Obviously, she was not the only one to fai- have the creature escape. Under such circumstances, she could hardly let Miles leave the Estate without a good talking-to. The fool could not be allowed to believe he could just stumble in half-dead whenever he wanted and expect to be left alone. Irritably, she felt her leg cramp beneath her. Perhaps the discussion could wait until the morning.

Franziska left her room promptly at nine o'clock, fully dressed and with only the slightest hint of a limp in her purposeful stride. After a brief badgering of the servants, she found Miles' temporary abode and forced open the door with an audible slam.

The room was dark, as the shades were all drawn, and her brother little more than a softly snoring lump in the bed. ....snoring. Hrmph. At least he slept well in the few hours she'd given him.

She closed the door behind her (softly this time though not intentional at all of course not). "Miles Edgeworth." Franziska said, striding forward. "You will wake up now," she poked sharply at what she assumed was his side, "and explain yourself."
