The weather was hot, sticky, and humid no doubt about that, but Yusuke didn't have room for complaints. He chose to live out in the woods through sheer will, and happening upon the old-abandoned ranger's station couldn't have come at a better time. For when he first arrived here in Allupato he roughened it. Taking shelter amongst the trees and bushes for protection, while Puu's plush body and wings made for a good makeshift pillow and blanket. It wasn't easy, and the teen was glad the former residence up and left their station.
He wasn't sure what scared the piss out of the old geezer to make him up and leave at the speed of light like that, but the teen didn't care so long as he had a warm bed and roof over his head. He made due and shaped the rickety old shack up to the best of abilities.
It looked good save for the not so safe porch that was steadily falling apart.
Stepping back to admire his handiwork, Yusuke drew in a deep breath then turned to face the vast forest surrounding him.
“In YOUR FACE MOM AND YOU SAID I COULDN'T HANDLE LIVING ON MY OWN!” He shouted into the wilderness, and grinned. Feeling proud of his childish outburst as a flock of birds took off from the bushes. It had been an uneventful day save for a bit of training, and rebuilding on the teens part. He had vented his frustrations out on neighboring trees and boulders, leaving a fair amount of damage in his wake. Not enough to alert suspicious activity for that matter. On the contrary, he kept things pretty clean and what ended up being left of the boulders were usually nothing but fists and pebble sized chunks.
The only thing that bothered him was the excessive Puuing coming from his spirit beast Puu, but then again even the sound of leaves crunching under Yusuke's feet set the bird off every hour on the hour. Luckily, he didn't need a clock to tell him what time it was, Puu did that for him, though excessively.
“It's just me Puu, no need to get all worked up.” He assured under his breath as he gathered up blocks of wood and went to store them in the beaten shed behind the cabin. No since in letting all he knocked down go to waste.
