365 Days Project
So the guy who writes Dinosaur Comics recently linked to a website containing the archives for the 365 Days Project. The 365 Days Project is basically a thing where every day they post some strange obscure piece of audio. Apparently there are many people out there who have a hobby of scouring garage sales and thrift stores for random crap, CD-Rs, ancient home recorded cassettes, etc. So I've been browsing through the archives and find a lot of it really fascinating.
Some faves:
A couple of unknown girls singing "Time Of My Life," found on a CD-R at an estate sale, lol
Batman vs. Bach
"Dicks Don't Grow On Trees," early feminist music apparently hahaha
Ree Baba Ree Baba???
Some of the other things on the site include randomly found recordings people made at home of tape diaries, audio letters, etc. Kind of a fascinating view into the private lives of random unknown people. I'll definitely be checking the updates for this site from now on.
