Book Signing Retrospective
Did the book signing & chat last night, and I just wanted to thank everyone who attended, including and especially a few folks from The Shaman's Rattle! :)
Just a couple of observations which are rather humorous in hindsight. When I did a previous book signing at The Enchanted Deva in North Hollywood, the folks in the audience became immediately involved and the whole evening from the start was very interactive. Last night, it seemed that Spirit had moved in such a way that the audience was extremely attentive, wanting to listen rather than participate. So... I found myself wondering WTF I was going to say, since I have made it a practice to NOT prepare specifically for these things. :O Why not prepare better, you may ask? Well... because then it just becomes recitation and presentation rather than an actual challenge, and if there's one thing I love, it's an honest challenge.
The result was that I found myself basically in a state of gnosis where it was all just "there" - a very cool feeling, though I have no clue what I said for most of the evening. *LOL* Turned out to be a very interesting and validating exercise in stalking the authentic self and allowing that authentic self to essentially "channel" the double. At one point, I was asked if Orlando had anything to add, and it was then that I realized he had been doing so for at least an hour. *gotta laugh* Later, Wendy asked me if I was aware that I had essentially been "channeling" Orlando most of the evening, and I had to admit I had not been aware of it until the question was asked. Funny how that works...
Anyway - it was a good experience for me personally, and I am very appreciative for all who came and shared in the evening.
