I'm hiding in a distant lair in Austin at this point, but I hear my folks got juice this evening. That may mean good things for the other side of that street really soon.

In '81 my family moved to Houston. That was a big deal. I was already obsessed with space, but being in 'Space City' and visiting NASA made it much worse. I studied and memorized shuttle control panels and the parts of Apollo and Mercury mission rockets. I drew a cricket as it died in an attempt to preserve it.
