In 1995, a company called Fractal Design released a simple 3D figure rendering package called Poser. Although it was supposed to be meant for certain professional and creative projects, the opportunity for abuse was clear.
This is exactly why such software should be kept out of the hands of certain kinds of geeks. They didn't even bother to switch from the software's hideous default lighting scheme. Although I must say this is a refreshing shift away from Poser pron, which tends to clutter my attempts to get information about Poser itself.
