Mini rant re: Tumblr
I love Tumblr and I hate it. I complain about it but I spend so much time on it that I swear I have a problem. But it seems that suddenly it isn't okay for you to post whatever you like, or heaven forbid, express your opinion without someone jumping down your throat about it. I'm not even talking about things of import such as politics or human rights, I'm talking about things like fandom and things as tiny and pathetic as pairing preferences. We don't owe each other anything, and for better or worse the internet is a platform for freedom of speech. I just....I guess I'm just amazed at how butt hurt people get over things. If you don't like something that's fine, but guilting people for liking it is a bit stupid. I mean, how DARE I like watching Sherlock, despite the fact it is a clear depiction of an abusive relationship. How dare I dislike a female character, I guess that means I hate all women and am an anti-feminist. And woah, don't get me started on shipping. I nearly deleted today, the only thing that keeps me from doing it is are actual genuine friends I have made there. This kind of wank is exactly what I don't need right now, and to be honest it must point to some kind of personality flaw that I'm paying it this much attention. My mum has just gotten out of hospital after major surgery and I was the only one who could take care of her so it's meant running back and forth to the hospital alone, between meetings and working full time. Don't know what I'm meant to do. I can't seem to get any time to myself. I'm exhausted.

Rant over, off to watch Breaking Bad, followed by some Skyrim.
