I finally have my beloved laptop back, safe at home with me :) The case had cracked and the mouse button didn't work (I know right? Terrible Apple, just terrible!) so I had to take it to the Apple Genius bar in town to get it fixed at the beginning of the week. They have completely changed the casing and keyboard, it feels sooooo good to be using one that actually works for once. The fact that I have a middle name seemed to cause a whole lot of confusion, since the guy serving me seemed to think my middle name (Marie) was my first name (despite the fact I have my first name in front of my middle name. Silly man). Also I got the repairs done for free since I haven't had my laptop for a year yet. I can finally get back to haunting Tumblr and Livejournal again...my Tumblr is practically emaciated after a few days without lovely Cumberbatch pictures to keep it warm.
Ahem. So, I handed in my notice at work last weekend. Boss took it surprisingly well, considering last time he turned into a passive aggressive monster. I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to retail. Again. It kills my soul, really it does! If nothing from the temp bank is forthcoming at least I have my epic tax rebate to fall back on...we'll just overlook the fact I'm going to Birmingham for a Supernatural convention at the end of this month, and to London at least 3 times next month...
