I spent a long-ass time trying to teach myself how to whistle when I was about 8 or 9 years old, and after a good part of a decade of practice, I think I've finally quite mastered the art.
I started whistling right around when I started playing the flute, and I initially sucked like no other at both. Actually, I initially couldn't get any sound out trying to do either.
Looking back, I feel really accomplished.
