Meh

Dinner was a great success, except that everyone who was supposed to be there didn't really go.  But that was in part because I was cancelling on people in part because it was late and in part because I wanted to just do it with Pete.  Dad kept me busy for about two hours talking about his divorce issues again.

Then Pete wanted to "do it some other time because people had cancelled," even though it seemed clear that I was happy that it was the two of us because I could get more snow crab for him that way.  But okay enough rambling, let's just talk about the food.

I decided that I would get the stuff anyways, because I was really more excited about the seafood than even seeing Pete or eating it with him.  And it was definitely worth it.  I highly recommend doing something like this to all seafood lovers.

The price was reasonable.  $65 bought me enough food for 4, with 8 crabs left over, we probably could've fed 5.  If you think about it, the clams and oysters were $1 / each (they're like $6 each at a restaurant, I think?), and the crabs were $1 each (less elegant, but I'm guessing two crabs at a restaurant would be about $15, min).  Ridiculously large shrimp (some of the largest I've ever eaten), was the most expensive, at $19 / lb, but it was delicious.  I got two dozen crabs (they give you some extra though) for $25, and 12 clams ($9), and 12 oysters ($11) and cooked shrimp (19$ + tax).

My aunt had dessert too.  Strawberries, raspberry tart and cherries.  I drank soymilk because I love soymilk and she always has it because she's lactose intolerant.  So much protein.  Omg, I am still so full 4 hours later.

I really wish Pete had decided to go, but I'm doing it again.  This time, I got a bill to the face ($45?, my aunt and her friend aren't paying me back, but that's okay, and Stephen who showed up is paying me $20).  But per person, if we had 5, this would only be $13 / person.  Pretty amazing deal for seafood.
