Okay, I'm sure you've all heard me sing the praises of Nicole Galland. She's one of the only historical fiction writers that have I really, really liked. Her book "Crossed: A Tale of the Fourth Crusade" is easily one of my favorite books EVER, right up there with Dresden Files and Johannes Cabal as far as how the books have stayed with me. Her easy-going approach to historical fiction without detracting from the real tragedies behind it all have really inspired me to write historical fiction of my own, made it a genre that seemed as accessible as sci-fi or fantasy always was.

I also love Shakespeare.

Nicole Galland is writing a novelized Othello from Iago's perspective and she's calling it "Green-Eyed Monster."
