I've been reading some of the Hannibal spoilers from the second part of S2,[Spoiler (click to open)]and I am deeply, deeply uncomfortable with the choices that are being made. It's not just one thing. It's a bunch of things that are making me uncomfortable on multiple levels. On gore levels, on treatment of women levels, on writing levels, and on animal abuse levels. It's like the creative team is seeing the lines and is sailing past them at light speed. I say that as someone who has a REALLY high level of tolerance for horror (although the kind of horror I tend towards is like, aliens bursting out of people's chests or brains being collected by flying polyps).
