Fake dating

I think Steve and Darcy are seen together by paparazzi while on a mission for SHIELD (because it is a well-known fact that Steve is balls at undercover work), and Steve is worried people will think he's a womanizer/think poorly of Darcy, so he casually recommends that they keep dating for a little while, and Darcy practically slams her palms down on the table like "YES! ...I mean, yeah sure that sounds good."

Bodyswap

I see this as a 'before they're dating' fic, where Darcy is working for SHIELD. Somehow [explaining how is almost its own fic] they get bodyswapped during a mission. I'm not sure who it would play out completely, but I have one really clear scene in mind of how Steve's walking down the street (in Darcy's body) and this groups of guys walks up and starts harassing him. Then Darcy shows up and uses supersoldier strength to scare them the fuck off and beat a couple of them to a pulp. Then when it's over she just kind of smiles and says "I. have. wanted to do that for SO LONG."

Sexpollen/fuck or die/aliens made them do it

I keep thinking back to that one Steve/Darcy fic where they were already dating and clearly WANT to have sex before they get hit with the sex pollen, which I think did a really good job of making that scenario match the pairing, because my gut reaction is "Steve would NEVER have sex with Darcy if consent was even remotely an issue". However, knowing they want to bone ahead of time and just needing the right push is something different.

Dark!fic

(This one may be familiar to you). Darcy and Steve are both taken by mercs, maybe affiliated with Hydra. During their imprisonment, Darcy gets shot in the head and left to die. The fic is about Darcy learning what happened and Steve trying to figure out where they stand.

I think they're talking, and Steve kind of leans down and softly kisses her, and they're both kind of stunned for a moment and Steve gets scared and tries to leave, but he can't because then Darcy launches herself at him and they have epic makeouts.

Meeting the parents

It would go well. There might be a couple hiccups, but Steve is like the quintessential example of a guy you bring home to your parents.

Moving in together

As soon as they're done with the boxes, they have sex on every surface.

I was actually playing around with the idea of a Miskatonic University AU recently. Darcy would be going to the school, and she sometimes has coffee with the deputy from town. And they talk about some of the weird shit going on (which Darcy knows a little something about, but isn't sure she can tell him).
