Katniss is just so amazing. Everything about her is the right mixture of desperation and determination.

I have so much love in my soul for Katniss. SO MUCH.

Haymitch also really grew on me. Especially in the second book.

I can't even pinpoint all the reasons I love her, there are so many. I think the big one is that she's a survivalist in every aspect of her life, and that's a rare thing to see played out with a female character. And just the fact that it fits her and her situation so perfectly asdjfk; all the feels.

I liked Haymitch just fine. I'm sorta waiting for Peeta to grow on me though.

Agree! I love that Katniss has these very relatable priorities - keep her sister safe, keep her family feed.
