From my mom:
I told you that I would keep you informed about Dad. We went into Richmond today to see the oncologist. We both like him.
To make a long story short, Dad will be having surgery on his bladder on June 1 at St. Mary's Hospital at 7:30 am. He will be staying at least overnight, possibly two nights. This all depends upon what they find when going in. If the cancer has penetrated the wall of his bladder, they might be removing the bladder entirely. We saw the CT scans, and could see where the tumors were, and they did not look good. There are many. We pray that they are not the invasive, quick moving ones. The doctor told us that this type of cancer is the result of smoking.
We are going to live each day as it comes, and will move forward to the best of our ability.
