Well, since my last posting - things have definitely improved in my little world.
Mark's back at the shipyard and employed - so money won't be stressing me out as much.
I'm traveling a lot, but enjoying it again.
I've finished the paperwork for my class this semester, and I'm hoping for an A!
I'm seeing Pat Benatar this coming Tuesday *AND* Wednesday! (once in Richmond, then in Norfolk)
The ODU chapter initiated it's largest pledgeclass ever in the HISTORY of the chapter two weeks ago!
And lastly, the Phi Mu chapter at Norfolk State University is now reinstalled as a fully-recognized chapter. The ceremony was held at the Section 83 Conference in Charlottesville, and it was a truly AMAZING ceremony. As much as I hate to admit it (as a Hokie), the UVA Chapel is beautiful, and was a great backdrop for the evening. Brothers Jerry Schroeder and John Ottenand were on hand for the charter/recharter certificate presentation, as well as the ENTIRE line from NSU. Even though one of the members couldn't be there in person (due to doc's orders, she is on bed rest for her pregnancy), we used a cellphone and allowed her to hear the ceremony from Norfolk. (I talked to her later, and she was just so happy she could be a part of things)
A lot of folks thanked me for all I do, and what I've accomplished - but I have to turn right around and give the credit to the students. THEY are the ones that make me proud to be a part of not only Alpha Phi Omega, but truly honored to be an Advisor to the chapter as well. Words just don't do me justice.
I doubt I'll be writing much for the rest of the month - got a lot of recruiting stuff going on for work, and then I'm taking a long weekend and heading for Tech for their 60th Anniversary weekend...
