Okay, I got enough of a response on the last entry to decide that I'll do Dark Month this year!

As always, I must give credit to kacfrog711 for the original idea and thank her for allowing me to borrow the concept.

I have this feeling that I am going to try my hand at Ouran fic once I finish the damn series. It's a terrifying idea. I have NO idea how my writing style is going to work with that series, BUT IT'S GOING TO BE FUN. I miss writing humor. T_T

Aw yay! I actually haven't finished Baccano myself yet. XD;; I'm so slow. I blame it on actually buying dvds. Why do things cost money?! As for other recs... We're watching a bunch of really fun stuff in my anime club right now that I'm enjoying a lot. One of the more notable ones is Canaan, which is sort of like DTB in that "mysterious organizations, crazy assassin characters and a bunch of crazy stuff going on at any given time" kind of way, except it's much more recent (and thusly better animated) and has a lot more humor. Another notable show would be Eden of the East, which is uh... a bit more difficult to explain. It starts out with a Japanese guy showing up in front of the White House (as in the one in Washington DC) naked and holding only a gun and a cell phone and just gets crazier from there. It's VERY fun and actually pretty funny too. I'll let you know if I think of any others!

MONSTER is actually airing on the Syfy channel in the US starting in October! So I will FINALLY get to watch it! I am super super psyched about this. EVERYONE has been telling me to watch it!

We're already watching Canaan, also Bakemonogatari, which is by the same studio that did Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and it shows. SZS seemed to be more of an exercise of artistic liberties and it never had any plot or had anything interesting to say, it was just all "Look at this crazy animation! WOAH" and no content. With Bakemonogatari, they still kept the experimental flavor but at least now it has some plot and intrigue. It's very slow and takes forever to get to the point, but it's beautifully animated and the characters are interesting.

I'll keep Eden of the East in mind. Thanks!

XD Figures. Actually we're watching Bakemonogatari as well, but i never remember it because it's so effing strange and because I never remember the name. It's... INTERESTING, yes. I'm enjoying it, but mostly because I'm trying not to concentrate too hard on trying to get it to make sense.

Do you guys like fantasy anime? Because we previewed one series that I really enjoyed but it didn't get enough votes to be watched called Guin Saga that you might find interesting if you've never heard of it. You may have though - I think it's one of those properties that's been around for ages and they're only just now animating it.
