I am in such a state of fangirl SHOCK AND AWE right now that I'm GIDDY.
Back in May, when my family had gone to see Indiana Jones, I saw the first banners put up for The Dark Knight. I mentioned that I'd love to have one after they take them down and Dad and I spoke to one of the managers to see if it was possible to get one.
(Note: These are the BIG banners, the type that usually hang from the ceiling in the big atrium of the theaters.)
So summer goes by and I go back to the theater a few times to ask about it and I never manage to get the same guy and all the other employees and managers say that they don't give them out, blah blah blah. And I am depressed.
So today Dad and I go back to that theater to ask about it just in case and we FINALLY get to talk to the same guy again.
THE GUY SAYS HE'S BEEN WAITING TO HEAR FROM ME ALL SUMMER AND THAT HE'S BEEN KEEPING IT AT HIS HOUSE TO GIVE IT TO ME.
HE'S BRINGING IT UP FOR ME ON TUESDAY SO I CAN GET IT.
CUE XAN FREAKING THE FUCK OUT, GUYS.
I had convinced myself that it wasn't going to happen and even Kiddo was like "Do you know the odds on actually getting that thing?" BUT I'M GOING TO GET IT AND HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO COOL.
It's one of the big Joker ones. I can't remember if it's the one where he has his back to the "audience" or the one where he's facing it, but EITHER WAY.
I'm sort of freaking out. It's probably a dumb thing to freak out about, BUT I DON'T CARE.
