This morning, several hours before those of you on the west coast would even consider getting out of bed, I was en route to the airport. My brother-in-law Isaac was driving and playing some classical music while we were driving on the highway to the Baltimore airport. The sun was coming up, and all the trees that line the highway were beautiful. I could not keep my eyes off them. They are very different than what we have here on the west coast. I kept thinking about how much I like the area, Matt's family, and wishing the trip had been longer.
While staring out the window and listening to the music I realized that I have become numb to the beauty of Santa Cruz, which was the reason why I moved here in the first place.
Now how can I learn to appreciate the beauty of the gorgeous area I live in?
