Rain please go away
Well the worst of it is over. The rain that is. We got hit pretty bad the town I live in and the surrounding towns especially got hit very bad with massive flooding and damage. The bridge I normally go over to get to work is closed. The Merrimack river was rising so bad it was right beneath the bridge. Its a small bridge which leads in Haverhill at the end of the bridge entering Havherhill there is or should I say was a marina,completely flooded. Docks were washed away and the condominiums behind it were evacuated because they to were flooded. to the left is a road which leads into the back of businesses(one of which I work) and across the street are houses and behind those houses is the river. Needless to say they got hit pretty bad. I actually got called into to work early yesterday because help was needed,people in line for sump pumps,wet vacs and misc plumbing,we had to get a special shipment so we would have plenty of these items in stock which thank god we did. The river was supposed to rise at 2am this morning which they said would possibly flood the bridge I don't know how far it got but I do know the bridge is still closed. To top things off because the water was backing up though the sewers,it was backing up in the parking lot where I work which im sure also caused flooding,not to mention the water that possibly flooded from behind where the river is. I had the day off today so im not to sure how bad the damage was or if there was any. I just know alot of roads are closed and driving anywhere around here and NH is a nightmare.
