One fish, two fish, red fish, cow fish...

How often does everyone dream, I mean waking up and remembering it, or at least remembering that you did dream even though you can't put your finger on the details? I would appreciate an reply from everyone. And does anyone know what causes you to remember dreams, what you can do to increase/decrease the likely-hood of remembering them, etc?

Hm . . . well maybe you remember so many dreams because of where you wake up in your sleep cycle. Maybe you remember so many because you wake up so often. I dunno.

Oh and I tend not to remember dreams . . . like ever, maybe about once or twice a year or so. But I did have on recently that I remembered quite vividly. Also, I tend to sleep *very* deeply, when I do finally fall asleep.

I definitely dream, but I rarely remember them. I find that I often remember the emotions that existed while sleeping, which can be even more frustrating because then I don't know where they come from and they can be more realistic/feel like they are naturally there and not just from dreams.
I only really remember dreams when I wake up righ tas they finish or during them such that they are vivid. The waking up tends to be due to alarm clock, but there are other times they just wake me up, but thats not really all that often.
