TV Meme (a bit belatedly)
This meme was floating around a while back. I couldn't do it at the time, so I thought I would now.
1. Name a TV show series in which you have seen every episode at least twice:
Hmmmm... this is a little tough because there are some shows like M*A*S*H that just when you've thought you've seen every episode, you find one that you haven't. So, I'm playing it safe and just going with Sports Night and West Wing.
2. Name a show you can't miss:
In no particular order... The Daily Show, Project Runway, Avatar: The Last Bender, and, to a lesser expent, Doctor Who, Heroes and Ugly Betty.
3. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to watch a show:
Tough to say, because even if I like the actor, I might not watch the show if it doesn't interest me. I am more liekly to give the show a shot if the actor is on a show that I used to like.
4. Name an actor who would make you less likely to watch a show:
Jennifer Love Hewitt. She just annoys me for some reason.
5. Name a show you can and do quote from:
West Wing, Sports Night, The Daily Show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. I used to quote Gilmore Girls a lot too and I'm sure that show heavily influence turn of phrase.
Or, you know, just look at my sidebar.
6. Name a show you like that no one else enjoys:
Probably Avatar: The Last Airbender, considering how into that show I am and none of my friends online or off really watch it. It would be nice to have someone who knows who the characters are.
7. Name a TV show which you've been known to sing the theme song:
Seseame Street, Facts of Life, Reading Rainbow (shut up), Gilmore Girls (kind of cheating since its a real song), and The Monkeys
8. Name a show you would recommend everyone to watch:
Sport Night.
9. Name a TV series you own:
Heh. If I had answered this back in Decemeber, there would be less on this list!
Sports Night, West Wing, Dead Like Me, Firefly, Fruits Basket (anime), Muppet Show, Avatar: The Last Airbender and, as soon as it is released, My Boys thanks to Watz!! (Thank you again!!)
10. Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops in television:
Ice-t. Seriously, the guy is a rapper. Who knew he could act!
11. What is your favourite episode of your favourite series?
Tough question!! Probably "Game On" for West Wing, "Dear Louise" for Sports Night, "The Blue Spirit" for Avatar, "Raincoats and Recipes" for Gimore Girls, "Baseball Myths" for My Boys" and "Haunted" for Dead Like Me.
Of course, none of thos makes any sense if you don't watch the show! But it's too much effort to write out the reasons why those episodes are my favorites.
12. Name a show you keep meaning to watch but you just haven’t gotten around to yet:
The Office. I know I'm just being stubborn about not watching... and Firefly, which is a little surprising considering I own the DVDs!!
13. Ever quit watching a show because it was so bad?
Quite a few actually... Sisters, Alias, Gilmore Girls and... wait for it... West Wing. I stoped watching during season 6 when I thought they killed off Leo. But the season six finale won me back.
14. Name a show that's made you cry multiple times:
I don't cry easy, but West Wing has made me shed a few tears.
15. What do you eat when you watch TV?
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I'm not particular.

Almost everyday.

The Daily Show
18. What's your favourite/preferred genre of TV?
Honestly, just like with books and movies, I really like Sci-Fi and Fantasy when it's done well and animation when its drawn well and written seriously (i.e. treated like it was a real show, just with animated characters instead of actors.) Mostly I like damas that are quirky and can make me laugh, but still pack and emotional punch.
19. What was the first TV show you were obsessed with?
Hmmm... I'm going to go way back here and say "The Pirates of Dark Water" back when it was a miniseries simply called "Dark Water".
20. What TV show do you wish you never watched?
I know there has been more than a few, but I seemed to manage to erase them from my mind, so please don't make me try to remember.
21. What is the weirdest show you enjoyed?
Well, considering it's about grim reapers, I'll have to say Dead Like Me.
22. What TV show scared you the most?
Doctor Who and X-Files both have managed to creep me out.
