Gods of Metal 2007
My nose and shoulders are burning, my neck's aching, but I have to say that yesterday was a great day... as for music.
Anathema and Dark Tranquillity are always the best on stage. It was my 3rd and 5th time respectively but the charm of both Vincent and Mikael always amazes me... they're very good singers with beautiful voices. I'm little sorry about how the first and the last song of Dark Tranquillity sounded, but it was great anyway :)
I just can't help keep on staring at Anathema on stage because they're perfect, because they hardly make a mistake and because their music is so effective and emotional.
Dark Tranquillity are pure energy. Pure energy on stage with Stanne running here and there and talking a lot with the crowd (a good crowd this time), thanking us, taking pictures of us :P It's quite like an orgasm, but do not tell it to my boyfriend!
Wow, I still have their music in my head and that feeling on my skin...
I was little disappointed by the new songs from Dimmu Borgir even if I really enjoyed those from "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant", I rested a little while listening to all the old songs by Blind Guardian, stared at the musical perfection with Dream Theater and brought my friend to the ambulance because he was fainting (uhm... wasn't I supposed to be the most fragile one?) with Heaven and Hell.
Tomorrow Isis are playing in Milan and in two weeks Machine Head will. I'm still not sure about what concert I want to attend: Isis are very good, but I'm not very into their music because I only listened to one album only; instead I started listening to Machine Head when I was in my early teens, but I already saw them and I doubt they can do better than at Wacken 2005...
... oh, and yes. Yesterday looked like a little revival of Wacken 2005: lot of people and lot of mud!! I'm sorry I didn't take pictures :(
