armed professors?
So I hear one of the latest ideas is to give guns to professors. While I can see the logic, in the sense that with weapons, you can better defend against weapons, let's get real for a second.
Besides the basic arguments about weapons in classrooms and the escalation of violence,
I know of only like three professors who I would be comfortable with having a gun. And I have met a lot of professors. If they aren't pacifists, they can also be borderline (or fully) psycho, highly ideological.
and how easy would it be to steal a gun from a professor? HELLO.
In short, not a good idea practically.
