Kind of a pointless post, since not much has been going on lately, and I want to do another linkdump but I'm too tired/lazy right now to do one, so OH WELL
So The Twilight Sad released a new song yesterday, and I've been listening to it nonstop since then. It's called "The Wrong Car," it's ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY MIND-BLOWINGLY AMAZING, and right now you can only listen to it on their MySpace page. OMG NEED THIS RIGHT NOW XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD It's definitely a change from everything they've done before, but it has to be one of their best songs too.
Also, here's what would happen if Jane Austen wrote Fight Club.
Finally, two memes from gingeynary:

I made this icon using LJ's icon-maker thingy (since I have never, EVER used Photoshop or anything similar in my life); I came across the original picture when ontd_political was doing photodumps from various Pride Parades around the world about a month ago. This one was taken at this year's parade in San Francisco; I tracked down the original, which you can find here. It was so amusing that I just had to make an icon out of it. (By the way, the back of the sign says, "Next Mission: Uranus." Hurr hurr hurr. :PPP)
Mikado from Durarara!!, one of my favorite characters from the series. I only got this icon because I needed one of him, but I don't use it all that much because it's a little too sparkly for my tastes. I don't know if I'm going to be keeping it around or not.
One of the icons made in response to the Green Revolution that started in response to Iran's contested presidential elections last year -- which I only added not too long ago. Oops. ^_^; This is my go-to "rage at something bad happening in the world" icon -- or, you know, whenever an icon of a fire and a guy making peace signs is appropriate. WHICH IS A LOT. 8D In any case, though, the turmoil in Iran was a real BFD to me last summer; I found what happened (and still is happening) pretty fascinating, and I still try to keep up on it every once in a while, although it's hard given that there's hasn't been much public activity regarding it in the past six months or so.
When I first made this particular journal, I had a hard time finding icons for it, and the icons I knew I could easily find were mostly of Yang Wenli from Legend of the Galactic Heroes (including this one). Hence why I have so many Yang icons. This one I use when I've done/said something particularly dorky or embarrassing. XD (And despite the fact that I have a lot of Yang icons, he isn't really one of my top favorite characters in the series -- I mean, I do like him, but I feel he can be a bit of a Gary Stu at times. My favorites as of right now are Reuenthal, Mittermeyer [both of whom are in this entry's icon], Kircheis, and Hilda on the Empire side, and Poplan, Ivan Konev, Murai, Julian, and Jessica Edwards on the Alliance side.)
Perceptor from G1 Transformers, a character who I'm told I'm like in a lot of ways. This is another one of the ones I use when I'm angry about something. ^_^; pellimusprime made this one, though not for me specifically (the Galvatron/Soundwave one was for me).
Ultra Magnus, also from G1 Transformers, wearing a fedora. Because giant robots need to wear hats more often. I don't think I need to explain anything more, except primusatemyleg, who made this icon, is probably the best fanartist in the TF fandom, and anyone who disagrees can, well, disagree, I guess. :3
