Vermont legalizes gay marraige By overriding Republican Gov. Jim Douglas' veto, the Vermont legislature became the fourth state to allow same-sex marriage, and the first to do so through the legislature rather than through the courts.
Considering this is the state where I go to college, I don't think I can adequately express my joy right now. XD

More personal, boring, college-related stuff: I want to get another single next year, so I'm putting in my application today. I don't have a good number, though, as I will be only a junior next year (the seniors get the better numbers), and I don't know anyone close enough so as to get a two-room double. Room draw sucks. :( Let's hope this works out.
