I knew Obama was going to win from the get-go too, considering he hasn't done a bad job at all (it's just those damn Republicans in Congress trying to get in the way of everything he does just to make him fail and blame those failures on him), and none of the Republicans in this year's primary were strong or moderate enough to appeal to most voters. My dad's a registered Republican, and he voted for Obama because of the shit Romney spewed about the 47%, among other things.
I'm just glad that this election shows that people are finally coming around to the idea of same-sex marriage, and that women aren't going to take having their reproductive rights trampled on anymore. And that elections can't be bought by rich people -- here in Connecticut, Linda McMahon was the WWE exec running for Senate as a Republican; both this year and two years ago, she poured $90 million+ of her own money toward her campaign, and she lost both times. Goes to show, doesn't it? XD
And yeah, the demographics of this country are changing, and if Republicans really cared about winning they'd stop suppressing the vote and started appealing to minorities, women, LGBT people, etc. And yet the talking heads on Fox News still had the nerve to say Romney lost because he wasn't "conservative enough." =_=
