I will never leave you for a tubby gold lamé-clad lead singer.

So, I've been watching a lot of "Supernatural" lately because well, of course that show appeals to me.  There's a lot of bad seventies rock on the soundtrack that just takes me back, and one of the first season episodes piqued my latent love of the Blue Öyster Cult - it's been dormant for a few years, but hearing "Burnin' For You" really woke it up.

Since half of my CDs are at my dad's house in Pittsburgh, I didn't have "Burnin' For You" in my sadly depleted record collection, so I decided to YouTube it to help get the song out of my head.

And found this:

Yes, yes, that is a Blue Öyster Cult music video.

But the thing that's so incredible about it, is how it more-or-less tells the classic rock staple story of the skinny bitch girlfriend leaving her blue collar boyfriend for the rock star, and while I can normally get behind this rags-to-riches tale, I can't move past the fact that the blue-collar boyfriend is totally hot, while the rock star is kind of paunchy and wearing - wait for it - a gold lamé, sleeveless jacket over bronze lamé pants.
