More Updates!
I really have to stop doing this whole "wait a week before I post"-thing; particularly when it's an eventful week.
So Thursday was the work Christmas party, and I decided to wear the black, form-fitting cocktail dress anyway and it looked awesome. I didn't have a camera, so I'm not sure if/where the pictures are, but it was pretty sweet. One of my co-workers drunkenly pinched my ass while I was walking by and, while I would normally turn around and smack someone for doing that, he was really, really drunk. Thus, I am not sure it's worth making a huge deal about because I've never been sexually harassed before, and it's unlikely to continue. It does sort of invite a question, though:
Why, whenever I'm sexually harassed, is it by men pinching my ass?
Like who does that?
Anyway, the rest of the party was a lot of fun. And I was probably like the only person at work the next day who was capable of carrying on a coherent conversation. The CEO announced that we were all allowed to come in late, as long as we were here by noon. I rolled in at 10:20, and only the interns were in. Whoops.
Friday, I went to Tina's Christmas party, which was fun. It was, naturally, a holiday party, so Tina and her roommates had made a bunch of cookies and things. Unfortunately for me, I had literally eaten nothing all day but junk food. Sugar helps when I have dehydration/hang-over headaches, so I had been snacking on left-over Christmas cookies all day and then we had ordered pizza for lunch, which I then also had for dinner. So I had an absurd caloric intake on Friday and absolutely no real food. Saturday morning was not fun.
On Saturday, I woke up and stuffed my face with hummus and vegetables and then pretty much lounged around for the rest of the day. I managed to bully my landlady in to buying us a new washing machine last week and it had been installed on Friday, so I did like six celebratory loads. No joke: I washed the curtains. Then Bonnie and I went to the 9:30 Club to see Jukebox the Ghost, The Dance Party, and Washington Social Club. That was a blast, and I now know what to get my brother for Christmas.
Then I went home, finished this, and crashed.
Sunday was errand day, so I cleaned the car, did pretty much all of my Christmas shopping, and then proceeded to clean the bathroom, the kitchen, and the living room before going to bed.
Since it was so busy, though, now I'm really, really tired. So much for sleep.
