A few brief updates

Well, since I can't find anything about near future updates to the bigger iPod line, I just ordered a 20 GB one from the (Educational) Apple Store. Thirty dollars off, and I get to engrave "ingenio maximus, arte rudis" on the back for free. What isn't to want? I'm looking forward to applying a music playing 20 GB portable hard drive in obvious ( Read more... )

I don't know if you saw it, but there appears to be a croquet club.

I had a short communication with someone from that via Facebook. It isn't really extant to any real degree, being mostly based on a couple of friends who played croquet several times during the Spring. A few apparently graduated, and they aren't nearly as hardcore as we were about playing in any weather. Seemed like nifty people, though.

Here's what you need to do:

In any place where they play, a man who knows how to drill men in the game of croquet can always be a Executor. We shall go to those parts and say to any Executor we find - 'D'you want to vanquish your foes?' 'Of course' he'll say, and we will show him how to drill men; for that we know better than anything else. Then we will subvert that Executor and seize his Throne and establish a Dynasty!
