"A fascinating lecture which throws light on the role craftspeople and designers will play in the emerging global economy, and how that economy will reshape our lives.

This lively talk explores how the expectations of consumers about the way in which products are delivered are dramatically shifting in the age of the internet.

Veteran BBC business broadcaster, Peter Day, grazes over a wide range of ideas from Henry Ford to Goggle.

His talk was delivered recently before a room of designers, curators and craftspeople at the Smart Works - Design and the Handmade - Symposium, which took place over three days at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum."

I like the way this guy thinks. I'd love to see a company run with all his ideas and follow how they survive. If I get the time I'll edit this entry with my thoughts on what he said. For now let this be a eads up for my friends who are into design and technology.

by design, peter day
