Playing Catchup

Haven't written here for a very long time. I mostly use LJ to keep up with family and friends who do use it as their blog of choice. I spend most of my online time on Flickr and email lists for parenting, home ed, sca and science related stuff. I occasionaly send tidbits to my blogspot blog: quadrapoptree. I even started a myspace account to keep in contact with a friend who uses that online social network.

Recently discovered 'get medieval' on lj and have read every strip of the cartoon - it's now added to my daily dose of visual stories along with docrat, rose is rose, herdthinners and sluggy.com.

Have been playing a fair bit of runescape - now completed all the non-member quests and hope to buy a months worth of membership over xmas so i can play in the same worlds as the big boys in my house.

IRL I'm aiming to be much more organised in 2007. I've had 2 years of allowable scatterbrainness due to baby no.3's arrival. Now he's going to be turning 2 things should gradually become more managable and predictable - if rather busy with 3 boys at home and one big one at work for 12 hours a day. Hey, at least I have the car now!

We dont do enough SCA stuff and seem to have lost contact with way too many of our old friends, time to rectify that I think. We're still searching, but have yet to find the right person/people... but you got be in it to win it and we haven't been for the last 4 years so what do we expect! Time to get out and mingle - as much as parents of 3 kids can without much in the way of any external support.

Home ed is going well, stuff is being learnt all round without much in the way of instruction or even structure! Humans are amazing sponges for info at this early age. Give kids a stimulating or interesting environment and they cant help but learn from it.

Well, that's about enough from me for another 6 months. Have a happy silly season and all the best in the new year.
