I moved here under a Working Holiday visa. The idea is to live here until the money runs out.

in asia, bank of america accnt in states - waiting 12 days now for visa card to be sent from states to asia. already spent hundreds (dollars) on phone calls, etc. not sure how long it will take but i will report back on this so others have an idea what its like leaving home without a pocket full of credit/debit/atm, and a hell of a lotta patience. the paypal crack made all this worth reading, tho; that and the cute girl questions. she's a cute one, eh? and i dont even like white girls. ha ha

OMG I am in Italy, and my mother tried activating my card for me because she is listed on the account but they wouldn't let her. Of course the 315 number didn't work for me and your post saved my life! Thanks!

Thank you for your tip! Actions: card ordered two times. Waiting time: 45 days. Result: nothing. Turns out it was never sent out! Called Visa where they told me to expect a card with a few days :) Brilliant!
