[ Enter a well-timed Azure Fang to the zombie in question, which knocks it off easily-- and Guy. I mean, narrators flub and all, Flynn. In layman's terms; a blond, attractive, young man in blue, white, and metal-clad legs. ]

[ He takes a step forward to come closer to Ahiru-- but stops when a monsters pops by and tries to get a piece of this knightly knight. Flynn teaches it, of course, and a few hacks and slashes later, Flynn is back to worrying about this young lady without missing a beat :'D ]

[ He spares a glance to his surroundings, suddenly curious for the presence of this "Guy", but then realizes that this young lady was referring to none other than himself! ]
I'm sorry, you must have me mistaken for someone else. [ and convinced for the meantime that the coast is clear, he sheathes his sword and approaches Ahiru. Etiquette, and all. One cannot be conversing with young ladies with weapons drawn. ]
It isn't safe to be traveling alone outside the barrier. Were you seperated from your companions, Miss?

I came by myself. I was going to get a pumpkin to carve for the Opera, but...those things chased me.

[ He smiles charmingly and then explains. ] It's what keeps the monsters out of the towns we live in.
[ and then he shakes his head. ] I suppose I'm new around this area... [ he bows his head in apology. ] If it isn't too much of a request, if you would guide me back to your town, I would gladly assist you in your search for a pumpkin.
[ He tries not to look around because, well, there a lot of pumpkins around... ]

It's fine...I didn't need one that badly. I just wanted to be part of the fun.
I'll try to lead you back to the City, though! ...And um...I guess I should tell you this now, I don't think we're anywhere near where you're from. This is just the City. We don't have more than one, or any barriers. I think you're one of the people the City decided to bring here.

It's fine, you don't need to explain. I will handle the situation once we are in a safer place.
[ ...that was said because he seriously thought it might be possible that a hidden city existed somewhere nearby? One that was not, you know, known to the Empire or the Union both. She thought she might've turned right (or was it left?) when she entered the patch, but with all that running she did she now wasn't really sure. ...Well, that way looked like a decent path. Maybe. Sort of. She began to march down it, slowly enough that Flynn could follow her.]
