(This will be a one handed baby laden re-construction of a two handed baby-free entry I attempted earlier today. Note to self; start using notepad for all internet corespondance.) Spring has recently begun to bounce. I have looked forward to watching the various green shades of new growth maturing as summer will ultimately fulfill the promises of spring. Indeed I have looked forward to watching the very grass grow!
As I stepped outside for a walk and an errand this lovely day, I was greeted with the sounds of lawn tractors, push mowers and weed whackers from seemingly every sector of this little town in the middle of the countryside. Agast I looked about me at the lawns of tender new shoots and patches of still dead grass left over from winter. And I thought to myself; "You have GOT to be friggin' Kidding me!" I mean Sheep won't mow the grass shorter than it already is. It is such a lovely day, and people cannot come up with a more enjoyable way to spend it than to massacre infant grass! And thus my Thoreauvian hopes were dashed.
Speaking of disapointments and dashed hopes. It seems my browser and LiveJournal do not see packet to packet and that my Security software won't be called off blocking L.J. even when I shut it off! I had thought I had solved the problem before, but alas... This is the reason for my substantial lack of participation and the spartian appearance of my blog. Frankly, as a new parent with so little TIME for myself, I cannot spend it tilting at windmills.
I had hoped this would be the forum I would use to create a journal for my baby complete with pictures and developmental accomplishments. This was intended to allow friends and family near and far to stay involved and watch him grow with us. I must needs find another way and soon, or perhaps some brave knight or lady can beat or bribe my computer into submission: "You WILL consort with LiveJournal!" It will be like an arranged marriage. Anyway I must find some solution and soon. My little one is growing much faster than either the grass or weeds outside.
