Okay, you guys all remember my pet theory that Gene Hunt is St. Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of police officers?

Okay, so, not actually in-the-show-canon; he didn't exactly say St. Michael, just like "it's somewhere where we go to sort ourselves...coppers" wasn't exactly saying "the copper's limbo". But still. It's good enough for me.
