So I found a nice, soft, lovely blue-grey shirt at my favorite thrift store when I was in Portland last week. I didn't buy it, because money is incredibly tight this month, but I'd regretted it ever since, so I went back today to get it.
I'm very, very glad I did.
When I got home I went online to see if the shirt was still available to buy anywhere (it's a personal thing - whenever I find a bit of clothing I like, I always try to buy at least two if I can so I'll have a spare)...and had quite an eye-opener.
I got this lovely lovely shirt for $4.50.
This is how much it normally costs. 0_0
It would have cost me $9.00 (at the thrift store, that is), but its color tag was on sale for 50% off this month. If I'd waited two weeks and it had still been there I could have got it for $2.25, since its color tag would have been 75% off, but I didn't trust to fate for it to still be there. MINE NAO. *snuzzles shirt in gladness*
I think this officially makes this shirt the most expensive item of clothing I own. Not sure how much some of my leather jackets originally cost, but still. Best thing of all: it's an overshirt...with pockets! How amazingly cool is that?

Also, you can't really see it in the picture, but the buttons are purple. Excellence, rawk, and win.
