I think N Ireland would have spent the time right up until the last minute arguing between the ones who wanted to be on the Brit ship and the ones who wanted their own ship and the ones who wanted to fly on the Repulic of Ireland's ship...and then had to get on any ship they could as they took off *lol*
I wonder if Cornwall went off in a little caravan shaped ship because they want to be their own country.
And the Welsh floor would have all its signs in two different languages *lol*
Mmm...nummy pics. :9 Anyway, heck yeah, I've always thought the boy had a definite (if non-traditional) tastiness...he first came to my attention a few Christmases ago because people were mistaking him for Bryan Dick in a BBC Christmas trailer.
As for his style, I really like how it matches the odd 'young old man' vibe he's got going on: dressing kind of old fashioned and throwing around slighly archaic words and phrases you wouldn't expect a guy his age to use. Watching him, you get the feeling that you now know what someone your grandad's age would have been like when they were young.
Yeah, like that little nose tap when he said the thing about the escaped fish. He's got a gentle old-fashioned reserve about him too, at times, that is very endearing.
He DOES look a bit like Bryan Dick, doesn't he? It's struck me more than once, the resemblance.
And non-traditional is right. That giant forehead pushes him juuust over the edge from "gorgeous" to "slightly alien". And did you see the preview for next week's show? His jaw unhinges slightly when he yells, bit unnerving.
Also love the green eyes, the twirling, and the odd flamboyant swishy hand gesture.
Re; Smith, though, "gentle" old-fashioned-ness is exactly right: he's got a mellow sort of benevolence and agreeableness with life that most people don't get until they've reached about eighty. *hopes that if I keep watching some of it will rub off*

Although my small son was completely unsurprised, since he expects everything to be All About Star Wars anyway.

It was the same crack as was on Amelia's wall. And on the TARDIS scanner at the end of Ep. 1.

Also he seems to be overly fond of a certain hat (he wore it in the confidential too).

(Btw, Bryan Dick's going to be in episode 4 of Ashes to Ashes. Supposedly playing a baddie who gets manhandled by Gene Hunt. My ovaries may explode.)
