OMG, WHAT HAPPENED

Um, not that it matters because A2A is NOT REAL, but...WHAT HAPPENED!

Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.

First there was...and then it was like...and there was the thing with the thing, and then...OH GOD THERE WAS SO FREAKING MUCH IN THIS EPISODE, it will require at least an epic post of epic-ness, possibly even two.

Mainly, though, this happened. Someone deep in my soul, I will always be lolling.

And Gene stroked Sam's jacket. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ My Sam/Gene slash love just hit critical mass.

OH MAN. I just broke something watching that video. I shrieked. A lot. The children were alarmed.

And jacket love! Wow. Wow wow wow. *hearteyes*

Nope, still not watching A2A, though. Definitely almost positively not.

*whispers* JOOOOOIIIIIIIN US.....

Bless his little cotton socksies, I think we now have a good idea of why Philip Glenister has never done musical theater. *LOVES ON HIS ADORABLE LIP-SYNCHING SKIP-DANCE OVER TO THE CAR*

Jacket = substitute. We all know what he'd really like to be stroking. :)

I KNOW RIGHT

I actually made a very undignified noise when I first saw it. AND GENE STROKED IT JUST LIKE HE WOULD HAVE STROKED SAM IF HE WERE INSIDE IT.

I find that reaction posts are much improved when composed prior to rational thought returning.

I think I wrote something quite long and detailed at my journal. Mainly it can be boiled down to HOLY CRAP. Only in Britglish. MY WORD. Or something.

At the moment, this most recent ep is quite possibly my favourite of the series entire.

Current theory:

Mahler's adagietto to his Fifth Symphony = (effectively) "Death in Venice".
"Death in Venice" = tussle between god of intellect (Apollo) and god of passion (Dionysus).
Which translates thusly: Keats and his pen-preoccupations vs. Hunt kicking in nonces.

It makes sense to me. -nods-
