I just googled the guy - apparently he's like John Madden or Terry Bradshaw; ie, he used to be a professional player but turned announcer after he retired. Which is probably why his co-anchors are giving him such hell for missing what must have been a rather obvious foul. :)

He's an ex-footballer in England (real football! :p) but retired in the mid-90s. He now does on-site reports for Sky Sports this side of the pond, and he's usually pretty on the ball! This was wonderful, bless his little cotton socks! :D I only wish I had got in 10 minuites earlier and turned on to the channel, as I started watching from about 4:27pm when I got in from the shops! Short by 6 minutes!!! Grrrrr! *shakes fist* Barrowman!!!
