Trouble in the Dreaming, is there?

...Morpheus having indigestion er summat? I've been having unsettling dreams here the past two nights, and it seems a few folks on my f'list have too.

First I dreamt that I was back in England on a residential street and had decided to take someone's car without them knowing; either to steal it or to drive it somewhere I needed to go. I got to the end of the block and was seized with conscience and couldn't go on, and put the car back where it was (note to subconscious: the drivers go on the other side in Britain, remember?). Only I'd kept the key for some reason, so the poor person still couldn't use their car and I was going to get arrested and deported.

Then last night I kept waking up from the fucking rainstorm or I wouldn't have remembered all the juicy details of the bad dreams I was having - thanks, rain. First one, I was moving from an upstairs apartment to a downstairs one with a friend of mine from high school/middle school. I was hoping it would be an improvement, and it was in a few ways, but the view wasn't as good and it was kind of cheap and skanky and student-y, and holy crap there were about a metric gajillion mosquitos in one room in the evening.

Then some local rapist/burglar (played in this dream by Chris Ryan, poor soul) was on the loose and got into our apartment. He went for my roommate and I stabbed him in the back of the shoulder with a blue Paper Mate pen, felling him but not killing him. Then instead of calling the police I called my current apartment manager, who was just not being helpful at all. Finally I asked if I took some pictures of the guy proving he'd been able to get into our apartment, would that help? The line went silent. Then my roommate buggered off and left me alone with the guy, and he escaped before the police could come and catch him. Grrr.

Next up the therapist I had a few years back was really sick and dying. And she'd made a tape of some highly sensitive revelation she'd made to some guy who was played by Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And while I admired her bravery for revealing said information, she was putting a lot of people / some big plan at risk by revealing it. Though at that point I think she reckoned she didn't have much to lose because she was dying and everything.

More restful night tonight please, subconscious? Kthnxbai.
