Herrick! ♥ Hee! Dig the sixties getup.
*makes mental note to learn the name of the actress playing the mother; for lo, she is brilliantly flaky and funny as hell*
Awww, broody George. ♥
Love how the writer made the dialogue do double duty in the pre-date scene, re: creepy fundie guy's attraction to Lucy: 'There is an attraction there. It could make him volatile; unpredictable.' 'It makes him vulnerable.'
Hee! Annie's George impression. Mean, but funny.
Is 60's girl the chick we saw dying a few episodes back? The one who refused to let Mitchell turn her? They didn't really act much like reacquainted soul mates them if she was; just old lovers.
Hee! Little girl actor trying not to laugh at Russell Tovey as she hands her lunch box back to him.
'I haven't noticed much blurting yet, New George.'
God, I have missed Herrick. SO much. I hope they find a way to bring him back next season. 'Oooh, what's happening to me, munch-munch!' Also, 'Children of Darwin'? Interesting moniker for non-vampire folk.
I know I'm supposed to feel all horrified at Mitchell FINALLY killing the cop, but really, the guy was getting on my nerves. 'Bout bloody time, I say. Literally.
Aw, he told Lucy. Finally. I hope she doesn't die by the end of the series now. *clings to her*
*scans credits* Sara Pascoe was the flaky mum. Lovely comic performance. Kudos go to Charlene McKenna too; lovely grounded presence despite all the makeup department's worst efforts. *looks her up* Ah, she played the Marchioness in The Old Curiosity Shop! That's where I've seen her before. Also, I wasn't exactly overwhelmed by the writing, but it was very good in places - and it was fucking spectacular in that this is the first episode where I honestly didn't want to slap Annie violently at least once. So...*makes mental note to watch out for Tony Basgallop's other work as well*
